Timed queues will make a return in patch 5.13. Those who played SMITE in its early days may remember a time when queues counted down instead of up. Lastly, Hi-Rez is increasing the presence of the support team, sending out punishments “more often on a weekly basis.” Timed queues return Games played at Maximum Goodwill contribute towards the monthly rewards in the Player Commendation system.Added a 15% bonus to FP gains from matches at Maximum Goodwill.Reduced Favor bonus at maximum goodwill from 30% to 15%.
With an adjustment to the rewards Goodwill provides: Goodwill is now gained more gradually after completing games and when players commend you.Goodwill now provides protection against single instances of negative behavior or reports.Players found abusing the VGS system may also have their access to VGS limited.Īnd, speaking of Goodwill, that outdated system has been revamped as well: Player behavior is more closely tracked in game, and at the end of a match, teammates may be prompted to provide additional information if a player met certain criteria. The commendation system lets players give each other a pat on the back when they “ as strong guides, show great teamwork, or are just plain friendly.” Commendations get rolled up into a points system, and so does playing at 100% Goodwill, SMITE’s little-used system that used to only let players with a better reputation earn more favor.Īnd those who are not banned all season receive the following rewards:Īlong with the commendation, the report system is undergoing changes to make reporting more effective. “Nothing can put a damper on that quicker than someone who is creating a negative environment,” wrote Hi-Rez in the patch notes.
Instead of punishing players with poor behavior, Hi-Rez looks to reward everyday players who are able to conduct themselves like normal human beings who don’t yell at random people in a video game. Then let’s get into the newest feature: a brand-new commendation system.
